dropping off my very young children at nana's and she says come see this we stand in astonishment watching the towers burn...I get to the restaurant and tell Joey to turn the tv on... not alot of correct info coming through at the time... then the Pentagon get hits and seeing that on the tv was like Oh my god we are under attack...I remember feeling a great sense of loss... not knowing what to say or do and feeling scared... what was goin to happen now.. stunned feeling ... I remember making pins to wear and everyone at the restaurant wanting one... gathering red and blue ribbon to make pins...standing outside on that Friday evening for a mass candle burning... I can say I have never felt anything like that in my life. The sense of community ... telling someone you love them... just incredible.
