Killer verse

You got your John Wayne Gacy with his creepy clown paintings being gobbled up by morbid collectors. You got your Son of Sam David Berkowitz selling the rights to his story for hundreds of thousands. And now here in Lewiston-Auburn comes the original poetry of one Rocky Crowley.

If you are not familiar with Crowley, one of the area’s most noted felons, his story is this.
In 1993, he was ordered to serve eight years in prison after police charged him in connection with the death of his infant son, Chase, who was discovered dead in the motel room Crowley was sharing with a woman. He was accused of thrashing and throwing the baby, who had suffered 29 rib and leg fractures before he died. Prosecutors at the time said the evidence showed that Crowley had abused the infant for most of his child’s short life. Chase was found dead with a sock in his mouth.

In late 2007, the notorious Crowley was charged with having sex with a 14-year-old girl. He pleaded not guilty and awaits trial.

And now for the poetry portion of this segment. The following was sent in by Crowley himself. I leave it to you to decide if we have another Lord Byron on our hands or if this is just another criminal declaring his innocence in rhyming form.

I often look at the midnight sky
And wonder why Chase had to die…
But all I could do was cry and cry
I never dreamed I’d have to say goodbye

I don’t know why David had to lie and lie
It didn’t make me run and hide!
Now it wasn’t for my selfish pride
The world has given me a long hard ride…

If David would only tell the truth,
That would be my final proof!
That on the day He passed away
I was many, many miles away…

I may be hated for many things
But someday I’ll hear the angels sing…
Those who have judged me will feel the sting
Because they will never ware the heavenly ring!

All these words I’ve said are true
Even though my heart is blue…
I know there is nothing on earth that I can do
But I know that heaven waits for me, how about you?

Rocky Crowley, a true, American piece of excrement!

People talk about heaven, being saved & forgiven & all. I find myself less & less eager to spend eternity with many of the so-called heaven-bound.

  3. Ol' Bill Says:

It sounds like he’s trying to tell us that he is “just misunderstood”.  Right!

unless you know the whole story and not what you read in a newspaper you have no idea if this man did this or not. Just because a court finds you guity does’nt mean you are, look at the many of poeple getting out of prison for crimes they never did.So before you start thinkinking you don’t want to spend eternity in heaven maybe you should think it again.

Rose, have you just come out of a coma?

  6. Ol'Bill Says:

Rose, Rocky Crowey has been a liar all his life. And, you believe him? Just ask any cop – Crowley belongs in prison. Forever.

Folks, Rocky’s criminal past goes back to 1981 and before. I can tell you he was never charged with several crimes in the spring of 1982: a convicted felon buying a gun (shotgun@Service Merchandise in South Portland), robbery w/ a gun (antique dealer in Farmington Maine) Assualt w/ a deadly weapon (ibid)and kidnapping (ibid) He is a POS and I hope we cross paths again. Maine needs a three strikes law for a$$holes like Rocky and his family.
